Barack Obama Poster Series Analysis by Artist Shepard Fairey
I think most of us were feeling a little giddy after yesterday’s inauguration events. In trying to keep in the spirit of things, I was hoping to publish this post yesterday, but time got away from me. However, this article is very interesting and something I think most designers would appreciate.
The iconic “OBEY,” “CHANGE,” “PROGRESS” and “HOPE” Obama poster design (created by Shepard Fairey) is picked apart bit-by-bit at the Political Collectibles website. It’s not often we get a chance to step into the artist’s brain and see their concept completely revealed. I highly recommend going to the website for a larger viewing, however, I’ve posted a screen shot of the article below.
